Nice to meet you!
I've been teaching piano in NYC since 1995. As a passionate educator, it brings me immense joy to share my love of music with students of all ages and skill levels. I teach both in-person in New York, as well as virtually online to students all over the world.
I'm a piano instructor at Showtime and Paramount+ for piano scenes on TV series and films. I teach actors/actresses virtually and in-person, and I go to film shoots to assist.
My journey began with a full scholarship to NYU, where I earned my Master's degree in classical piano performance. I continued my studies, completing an Advanced Certificate program to further hone my skills. I later joined as a member of the Piano Faculty.
Today, it brings me immense joy to nurture the musical growth of students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're picking up the piano for the first time or polishing your performance repertoire, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.
Words from Students
Kay is an amazing piano teacher for young kids and adults!

We feel *so* lucky to have found Kay as a piano teacher for our son! Over the past year, he has learned so much and made incredible progress. He’s already reading music and playing intermediate-level pieces, which we didn’t imagine would happen so quickly. In addition to her incredible teaching ability, Kay is an absolute gem of a human being. She has a magical way of connecting with her students — she’s incredibly supportive and uplifting, even (especially) on the days when he’s not in the best mood or having focus challenges. Her encouragement has been a huge confidence boost for him, and he always leaves lessons feeling proud of himself.
My son is often reluctant about other activities and often struggles to have positive feelings about classes and school, but his piano lessons with Kay tend to be the highlight of his week. Kay is so supportive in helping him find music that he genuinely wants to play, which has made practicing — though not *always* easy — a much more enjoyable and consistent part of our lives. She also nurtures his creative expression, letting him explore and really enjoy the process of learning. She truly has a gift for making kids feel seen, supported, and inspired. Lastly, Kay’s studio is such a special space. In the top floor of a Brooklyn brownstone, her studio is filled with pianos and keyboards; she often makes lessons extra fun by letting students choose which piano to play during parts of their session. I love that our son gets to have his lessons in this dedicated piano studio space and feel that it has elevated his ability to focus and learn. Thank you, Kay, for all that you do!

My son has been taking piano lessons with Kay for 4 years. She’s a wonderful teacher with a very encouraging and nurturing teaching style. She has helped instill in my son a love of music. She offers both group and individual lessons and my son has enjoyed both. Her community recitals are amazing events where children and adult students of all levels perform and are celebrated. I highly recommend Kay!

The Sublime Piano Studio is a great place to be and learn piano new skills. All students are welcomed and vary in age. You can learn piano at any age and still learn new techniques. It is also a great place for children to take lessons and there are recitals every once in a while where all the students show each other new songs they have learnt. It is a great environment. It should be 100 stars instead of just five.
